Jazzy Bryant (They/Them)

The labor of healing is not an individual project.

My name is Jazzy B (they/them). My philosophy as a therapist is rooted in a fundamental belief in our capacity for growth and change, in the wisdom of our bodies, and in the sanctuary of our relationships. I believe in taking an integrated approach where thoughts, feelings, and physical responses are all honored. As a therapist, I am committed to finding a path that meets you where you are at and allows us to co-create a space where your healing takes shape.

I enjoy experiential models of therapy like Narrative Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy. I center strengths, creativity, vision making, and embodiment in session because playfulness can make the deep exploration of hard or painful topics feel more possible. I offer a calm demeanor, a sense of humor, and a face that tells it all.

I welcome anyone into my practice who resonates with my approach. I work with individuals, intimate partners, and families. I enjoy working with people in times of transition like family creation, grief and loss, gender exploration, surgical recovery, and relational changes. I am particularly interested in working within my community, alongside other adult children of addicts, trans and gender nonconforming people, queer people, nonmonogamous people, fat people, and BIPOC folks.

Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked as a professional doula supporting many birth and postpartum journeys. When I am not doing therapy work at SIFT, I am offering energy work as a Black Power reiki practitioner, or counseling work for Black trans housing justice at Lavender Rights Project, or teaching work for Black trans affirming reproductive justice at Lifewerq Project. I believe carework in all its forms has a crucial role in liberatory world building.

I would be honored to support you on your journey and co-create a world where we are well together.
